Welcome to Villa Viva! In our circus of the future, you can not only do good while you sleep, but also marvel at all kinds of art. Artists from all over the world have given free rein to their creativity in our Artrooms.
Your Artroom has been transformed into an interpretation and deconstruction of the environment by the artist duo Plusminus3. Inspired by materials, room angles, colours and architectural elements on site, they create abstract shapes, surfaces and lines that allow space and art to merge harmoniously. Pine plywood is not only the material of the furniture, but also one of the main artistic design elements. The organic wood grain deliberately contrasts with geometrically abstract shapes and emphasises the overall concept of the "Veins" floor by symbolising flowing water veins. The colour palette ranges from nuanced shades of blue and grey to warm brown tones that reflect the original wall colours, exposed concrete and wood of the room materials. Optical illusions, by extending lines and angles in the room, as well as subtle shadows and skilful overlapping of surfaces create the optical deconstruction of the room. Furniture, such as the table, becomes integral art objects. Lines in the room create a connection to the artwork in the stairwell.
